Default car won"t start

I have a 2000 xj8 vanden plas I backed it into my garage 2 weeks ago it has 120k miles on it and it's cosmetically perfect however I have had increasing poor performance as well as the restricted performance and limp mode after 20 minutes or so of driving. Now it just cranks and will not even sputter.I tried spraying starter fluid directly into the throttle body and still no go.Is there a fuse shutting down the throttle or perhaps fuel pump.I am completely lost and want to try everything within my capabilities.I live in the rocky mountains miles away for a tow.any suggestions for a trouble shoot.can the codes help if I can't even get it started?please help.

Yes, by all means, the OBDII codes will provide a lot of info!

Here is the standard 'everything' list of starting issues. Let us know what happens. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/g...d-first-30792/

I would also suggest that you not use starter fluid. There have been reports of ruptured plastic intake manifolds as a result of using that stuff.
