Default CATS shocks worn after 2 years

Dear Jaguar Enthusiasts,

I replaced the front shocks on my 2003 XJR 2 years ago at the local dealership. Now they are telling me that they are already worn and leaking. These were very expensive shocks and I filed a complaint with the national Jaguar service organization. They made no accommodation for a replacement, telling me that the age of the car is key factor in their decision.
I am very disappointed and hesitate to replace the chocks with Jaguar OEM parts.
What are the options for redress or alternative suppliers?
It seems that the shocks are considerably cheaper in England compared the US.

Thanks
Stefan

the age of the parts is whats at issue not the age of the car! Id be pissed! but parts usually have only a one year warranty so youre screwed anyways.have you seen what they are describing as a leak? I would clean off and see if it leaks more. My front shocks looked like they were leaking due to the oil residue on them but i cleaned them upp and the residue hasnt reappeared yet

Thanks for your quick reply. In addition to leaking they also stated that the right side front shock is stuck, i.e. does not fully extend, which is concerning.
