plunger is the chrome knob that goes up and down when you lock it. you can’t pull up on your side and have all the other doors unlock? or just use your side’s driver door handle?

 

thanks, i´ll give it a go. Today I also have been reading more forums about this central lock only lock-issue. Seems not to be one solution but playing manually with the plunger seems to fix it for many. So today I opened up all doors with remote. The plunger on drivers side was up, but not 100% up like the rest of the 3 plungers. So I tried to forced it all up, did not feel like it make any difference. Closed the doors, locked- and opened up all doors again with remote and started the car. Now I pushed the contral lock button on console and all doors locks (as before) - when I push again it now works and all doors opens upfor the first time in a long time !!

Dont know what problem was, but wriggeling with the plungers, making sure it all is manually "reset" seems to have got the dorrs into "sync" again somehow. It smells like same "unsolved" experience many other Jag owners have had.

Well, learned alot by disassembling it all even though it was not source to problem - thank you so much everyone especially @Highhorse . This forum is fantastis and really appreciate all the help and patience with a rookie DYI.

My perception was the pull handle...I've never used my plunger like that...they are just indicators for me.
