Changing brake fluid - how much needed?
Hi All,
Jag recommends that the brake fluid be changed every three years and it is time for me to renew the brake fluid on my XJR.
How much (Super) DOT 4 fluid does it take to replace/flush all the fluid in the vehicle out to each caliper?

Vector....2 litres should do it for a full flush.
Taking into acount that if you have Brembo calipers, they will have two bleed nipples each at front.
Bleed sequence is:
LHF - RHF LHR - RHR
If you use the conventional method via pedal use full long strokes gently....don't go pumping away madly.
A pressure bleeder (easily available via Amazon) is definately a better way to go for a complete flush and doesn't run the risk of damage to the master cyclinder bore/seals by constant pedalling.
