i have a xj8 sport which i believe it to have a misfire when i put it in drive its wanting to pull away with my foot on my brake pedal and my codes show p1464 p1000 any answers thank you

 

Codes can have different meanings depending on year. P1464 may be an A/C system fault, and P1000 means the emission control system self test is incomplete. It will change to P1111 when complete and is not really a fault code.

 

If suspecting misfires look at fuel trims (lots of threads about them).

 

hi thanks I reset codes with diagnostics machine only for management light to re-appear the code suggested bottom point which is lamda sensor what it is actually doing is when I engage drive in auto the revs fluctuate & car is wanting to go even with foot on brake if that makes sense it's a xj8 3.2 sport auto 2001 thanks
