Coding Modules x308
Hi Guys,
I have been looking at VCM IDS SSD software for the x308 - in all cases it says it cannot be used to recode modules - can anybody confirm this?
I will be needing it when I a fitting a new ABS module to my 2001 XJR
I am almost 100% certain that this module is going to have to be introduced to the CANBUS Controller as a new part.
Is the Auto Enginuity able to calibrate or code the ABS module?
Have any of you had any experience in this regard?
Cheers
Andrew

The ABS module will need to be configured to the CAN bus IF it is a NEW module from Jaguar or it is OLD and has lost it's original configuration.
I have modules that I repaired and stored for around 10 years. When I install one it usually needs configuration as a NEW module. (capacitor discharge?????)
If a module has been removed from a running vehicle recently, then it should just 'plug & play'.
