Hello , I finally got my 2003 super v8 home today as the low coolant warning is on , I want to refill it , but I don' know what to replace it with . Thanks in advance for all replys!!!
BUT! If the coolant in the car is green DO NOT USE orange to replace, without going through the complete drain and refill sequence as noted in one of the TSB’s issued from Jaguar. Sorry I don’t have a link but its on the forum somewhere.
It will remain a confusing subject, the more you search, the more you doubt what is actually in your car .
I read about everything posted on the net, then decided to do a full flush and start again, so at least I know what's inside.
There is a plug on the side of the engine casing to get more coolant out, and it might be a good opportunity to counter-flush your heater core.
Below is an other Jaguar issued doc, however, that does not guarantee what's inside your system after ~20 yrs.
In addition to my VDP, I also have a LR Discovery II, so I personally have a strong aversion to orange coolant.
I run Zerex G05 in all british vehicles I own, the VDP, Disco and even a '72 MGB.
All were flushed thoroughly before switching over, which is a mess, but so far, temps all around are good and seems to be working well with no issues.

The OP, rduffe70 posted the question on December 27th 2017 and has not been back to the forum since. The 2004 is an X350 and not an X308.
97xj6lucy posted in the thread yesterday with, despite the forum username, a 2003 Super V8. In the UK this would also be an X350 but is more likely to be an X308 in the US.
Whichever model it is, the cooling system will have originally been filled with a mixture of 50% plain water and 50% Jaguar Antifreeze, Coolant and Corrosion Inhibitor conforming to specification WSS M97B44-D. This is orange Extended Life Coolant.
Brand is unimportant. Jaguar don't manufacture their own coolant and it doesn't possess any unique properties, The same WSS M97B44-D specification is met by many different and often lower cost brands.
