I have the dreaded board-gone-bad syndrome. I am looking for a used part to replace mine while I send mine out to be re-soldered. Figured a back-up is not a bad idea to have anyway. I have a 2003 XJR (2003 308 US model). Anyone have one available or know eactly what part number I am looking for so I can search the bay? also, any recommendations on who to use in the US to repair the old one?

In the trunk somewhere, probably to the rear of the spare, you will find the VCATS, which lists the modules. You should look for an exact match of the number.

 

I re-soldered one of mine using posts from other users-

if you are comfortable with a soldering iron and a hacksaw, it is really not that difficult.

The cracked solder joints were obvious when I opened it.

 

I forgot to mention that I fixed mine by drilling a hole in the case to access the pins. Instructions were on jagrepair.com
