Default Cylinder Bank Numbers 1/2 - Left or Right

I have a DTC for Bank #1 O2 Sensor, is this the left or right bank?

Thanks!

Bank #1 aka 'A' bank is on the right side. Lucky you it's the easy side.

Bank one is always on the driver's side of a British V engine. (the correct driver's side according to the British)

I am not sure if ease of access to the sensor is a concern at the moment, as the sensor may be indicating an actual performance issue. Strangely though, it is a bank #2 cylinder that I know not to be firing.

I could have very easily fouled the sensor by repeatedly burning oil in the cylinders to start the car. I just posted a new thread addressing this recurring problem.

Thanks!

Yes. We just follow the ISO/SAE standard as far as I can see.
