Daimler V8 2000 Engine Question

Hey guys,

Since 1999 Daimler engine has pretty much failed (due to Nikasil coatings)... I am looking for a newer one.

I know that 2000 Jaguars were updated with the iron linings but wiki slightly confuses me

2000-2002 Vanden Plas
2002 Daimler Super V8

My question is: were Daimler engines also updated in 2000 with iron linings or they did this only in 2002?

The Daimler unit is the same as the Jaguar one except it has different covers on that say Daimler. You could get a replacement Jaguar engine and swap your covers. As they are the same company I would imagine the engines were updated at the same time
