Deciphering a VIN ... and some more
So my friend bought an other X308, I think he's got 12 now ..., maybe more ....
This time a 1997 early Daimler.
He asked me for some help in identifying the exterior and interior color, as the stickers are missing.
I remember a site where by entering the VIN, it gave a lot of extra info like specs and colors, ut I am damned if I can find it.
The exterior is a very dark liver red / brown (amaranth?), the interior close to NDR (that was x300, right?).
The center console doesn't fit, and the seats are super dirty though.
Anyone with a good guess or link to a site?
Thanks, as usual!

And here is a pdf decoder......but again, no color info

This site may help identify the color..........

Thanks KC,
I actually used them already, the VIN decoder does not work for non-USA cars, and the Jag repair links make a mess with some of the digits as well.
I had that with my Taiwanese XK8 as well, so I guess there are some structural changes in the VIN for Asian countries.
I guess this being a 1997 Daimler does not help, as only in 1998 Jaguar seemed to have settled on the new scope for the x308.
If I do a guess, considering the color difference of the top dash and the rest --> (a very dirty) Oatmeal interior???

Thanks for the heads-up.
And on the leaper ... I gave up on that long time ago, they are obsessed here.
This car needs a new bonnet, and the spare car where the bonnet will be coming from has no leaper ... I bet my money holes will be drilled soon ...
