can I use silicone temporarily on expansion hose?
hi guys I changed my car secondary tensioner during the job I moved one of the expansion hoses that's connected to the radiator it did broke from the radiator side only if I put pressure on it the leak stop. now can I add silicon on the hose temporarily untill I get new one next week?
also is there kind of tool that can disconnect these hoses ?

There is a special tool or you can use a small flat blade pocket screwdriver like all of us use. Remove that piece and plug it with a rubber cap over the fitting on the radiator and crimp or plug the reservoir side too. Leave the cap loose so it doesnt build pressure
