I'm going through my 98 XJR and getting issues fixed. The drivers' door will not stop at the open position - swings right back at me, especially when stopped on an uphill incline. I'm hoping someone else has addressed this problem and will share their fix. Love this site and my thanks to each of you,

Check on Ebay for the part. Had the same issue, part was cheap used and the fix was easy. You have to take the door panel off but there's only 2 nuts that hold the piece in place. Pretty easy to figure out. 30 minutes tops
