Default Door trim piece replace?

The trim strip along the rear door of my 01 VDP is pulled out at the rear - Just enough to be noticeable. How are these held on? Clips, or just glue? If just glue, do I use a heat gun to remove? Are replacements available from Jag? Thx.

are you talking about the weather seal, Jaguar call it a waist seal, the chrome strip fits into? they're fitted down onto the top of the door panel, sikoflex holds the front bit to the door, not much you can do if the chrome bit is sticking out, apart from replace the whole thing. Around £80 new here. Don't know the part number for the long wheel base.

The piece I'm talking about is on the outside, towards the bottom. A horizontal strip which visually extends the line of a similar one on the front door.

This is a trim piece, not a weather seal.

They are held by double sided tape.
You can either use a heat gun, but be carefull not to get it to hot, or you can use dental floss and cut through the tape.
Another solution is 3M adhesive remover.
To put it back on you will have to use some automotive grade ( usually grey with a red peel-off backing) double sided tape that you can get at a part sore.

I have had good results removing similarly-stuck objects with fishing line. For an unpainted-surface you can spray with WD40 or Silicone Spray first and it breaks the adhesive's adhesion.
