Driver door module and lock security tumbler questions
So I have an intermittent driver's side front power window. From researching the forums it appears to be either a bad module or as some folks have noted potentially a bad part of the security tumbler in the door lock? I have tested my motor and it works. Disconnecting the battery to reset the door module fixes it, but it is a pain to do every couple of weeks. What is involved in replacing what has been referred to as the "security tumbler" or is there a fix for it? Was thinking I would start there rather than start by replacing the door module? Or should I do the reverse? Thanks.
"intermittent" in this connection triggers 2 more possibilities in my mind:
1. A cold weld (i.e. a solder point on a module, which "broke" over time and as such conducts electricity now only sometimes).
2. As switch engineer, I always suspect switches: Oxidized contact surfaces inside of the switch could also lead to that behaviour.

Poor contacts are almost always my first thought on intermittent electricals.
Sometimes you can clean them up and it works for a while, and sometimes
you cannot seem to find the problem to clean it up. That's when most just
install a new switch and call it good.
