Default driver door won't lock

Hey guys, the driver door in my 03 xjr won't lock. keyless/alarm seems to be working fine to unlock/lock the other doors.

It's stuck in the unlock position...when i manually push the lock post down by the window, it pops back up. Can't manually turn the key to the left to lock either.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Tried a bit of 3-1 oil down the lock rod but still no dice? Any help is appreciated as I park this on city street!

After pressing down, when it pops back up, does it feel as if it's being driven up by the acutator? If so, this is a door controller issue.

Perhaps a hard reset will return it to proper action? One of the resident Jag techs will have to address the reset question.

Hi, it feels like something mechanical is driving it back up, a spring of sorts. I dont hear any electrical action when i push it down.

Worth trying a reset? If so, how would I do that.

Thanks
