Default Drivers door lock piece

I need the plastic piece that connects the rod from the driver's door keylock to the rod from lock mounted in the door. It is about 2 inches long and has a threaded hole in each end. If anyone knows of this piece, I would greatly appreciate the information.

I don't know the part either, but I'll bet its discontinued. In any case, just down in El Paso there's a yard there that has an XJ8... Search Results

I'll bet if you call them to be sure they still have the car, they'll practically give it to you, if you feel like making the trek?

These parts can change from year to year, what is yours? Could you put your Jag info in your signature please.

I do not know if the XK door assembly is the same (many parts do cross match), but there are (3) 99-00 XK's being parted out in the Marketplace.

I recognise that photo as one of mine.

It's not (or wasn't) available from Jaguar when I needed one. It's supplied as part of the door latch assembly which is a horrendous cost. I went to my local specialist Jaguar Breaker and salvaged the link from one of their cars.

That's what I just found myself Graham and was going to state such. They want about $267.77 for the assembly.

I have a 98 XJ8L donor car the got partially toasted in a grass fire. I think the door survived. I will check in the next couple of days to see if it survived.

It looks different that the one posted.
Just pulled the one off the passenger side, the driver door is literally toast. The 98 appears to be different than what you are looking for.

I believe that the steering wheel you have now looks better than this one.
Sorry I couldn't be of any help.
