Default Driver's side headrest - inop

Morning

The driver's side headrest on my '00 x308 doesn't move when commanded by the switch. I hear what sounds like a relay click but the motor doesn't operate.
I pulled the headrest assembly out of the seat and tested it with my bench power supply; it operates smoothly up and down after having been freed up from maximum travel where it was a bit hung up.

Is there a seperate fuse in the circuit? I'd think if the relay is attempting to operate something should happen, regardless of if the potentiometer is providing sane values to the seat control module?

I found the fuse for the control module, but that does the entire seat. the passenger side headrest operates as expected (but yeah, that's on the other seat...)

Edit: I just tested each side of the supply wires with respect to body ground and I get a wavering 0.1-0.2 volts when selected in the direction that would cause the motor to drive that way.

Issue appears to reside with the chair control module (feeling with my fingers and operating the switch I can tell the relay I hear is in the module box. It is properly crammed in under the chair though. Is there any way to remove it without removing the chair?

Thanks

--Phil

It would also appear I have the later version of the headrest assembly in this chair.

The wiring diagram just shows the Driver Seat Control Module as a black box. I need to get into it to find out why this quit.

Sometimes it is just poor electrical contact in the switch.

I took a look and I'll have to pop the seat up off the floor anyway to get at the front motor (which spins but doesn't move anything, so either linkage or gearbox failed).

I can check the switch and control module and harness.

Thanks!

Turns out it was the seat control module for the headrest- it was jammed in the fully up position; freeing it off meant it operates again but the circuit board didn't much like that current flowing all the time.

So, I pulled that up, cleaned the board and soldered a wire in place.

That got the current flowing again.
Headrest goes up and down as designed now.

Cushion front not moving was the Bowden cable popped out of the gearbox.

Cleaned all the hair and lint and fluff off where it had twirled it on like spaghetti, and reinserted it in the gearbox. Seat now moves in all axes as it should. Happy days.

Bolted the seat back down and called it at that.
