I have one at my shop I use on any 722.6 trans that comes in, including the NAG1 transmission (same thing just in a dodge). On the E320 I originally bought it for, it definitely had some excess sticking out, this is because it works on so many different vehicles. My biggest problem with the plastic tip is that during forceful insertion, the tip would bend over and lay on the bottom of the pan, giving me incorrect readings. I had to be very careful as to not push too hard and try to feel the sensation of it just barely toucing the bottom of the pan. Would have made more sense to make the tip out of metal!

The tip is plastic to be able to bend throught the dipstick tube, I have another one at my shop for Dodges with a metal tip and it won't snake through the tube.

Well I'll tell you this much, I bought the 722.6 ebay one measured out 27 and 5/8" as I read on here, got the trans pretty hot, stalled it up for about 15 seconds then put it in neutral then repeated a few times to make sure I got the oil up to temperature, with the car on the rack I put the car in drive with the ebrake on and checked the level. Since then have been driving the car, and I mean beating it hard. 0 problems I have a hard downshift to first that was always there. I've freeway raced a few cars as well as from a stop, and this is only in the last two weeks and the trans hasn't missed a beat.

I'm satisfied.
