Electronic boot/trunk release problem
‘99 XJ308
Recurring and annoying problem with the electronic boot/trunk release. The strife has a very bad habit of slamming the boot/trunk lid after accessing the contents. Eventually the latch becomes disconnected and pressing the cabin electronic or rear button release and the fob cease to function. I can hear the electronics working but obviously they have become detached from the latch. Using the key works, but is a pain in the ar*e. Does anyone have a step by step fix for this issue?
Any advice gratefully accepted.

Possible that some screws have worked loose with the "Trouble" slamming the trunk lid.
The parts are fairly easy to get to, if you remove the cover (7) you have access to the latch (6).
Maybe also check the actuator and bracket (14/15).
