Default engine stalls after 2 minutes idiling

Hello,
my XJR has a new engine as the old one blown after 290000mi.
The engine is stalling after 2 minutes idling.
The mechanic replaced the crank sensor. However, no luck.
Any idea what it could be? Any hint?
Here is a picture, thank you.

The AJ26 to the AJ27 engine replacement has a different mass air flow sensor wiring at the sensor connector easily missed

There could also be a swapping of the MAF sensor from the original

The CKPS seeing engine rotation is the enable for the fuel pump but there is a secret fuse that closes the relay as fuse X , different than the big mussel power to the pump motor

This fuse X requires the king relay for that fuse box to close which may be intermittent , this relay would be labeled as # 2 ignition positive off top of head , swapping options ?

Fuse # 16 / 10 amp left heelboard fuse box for fuel pump relay control

Relay # 2 ignition positive relay must stay closed , left heelboard

This is for the V - 8 ?

SAID ANOTHER WAY: IT IS NOT CLEAR WHAT YEAR YOU ARE DISCUSSING. SIGNATURE SAYS YOU HAVE A SIX CYLINDER. THIS FORUM IS FOR THE X308 V8 MODELS.

WHICH IS WHY PARKER IS ASKING: This is for the V - 8 ?"

Sorry for the confusion, the car I am referring to is a 2003 JAGUAR XJR

The engine was replaced a few months ago. The stalling happens when the engine is cold.

Look to the temperature sensor in the cross-over pipe (with electrical lines to the MAF sensor). Also, what OBD codes are showing?

The 2003 if original engine should have started with the upgraded AJ27 engine with car side wiring ( MAF )

As to what you have now ? may be able to tell from engine serial number or other factors like 2 variable cam position motors on engine / valve cover fronts

The engine coolant sensor should be a 2 wire

Place your finger on the smog pump relay and feel it click back open after 60 seconds after start ( I can be wrong on the 60 )

When the engine is cold, you start it and after letting it idle two minutes or so it stalls? No fault codes? Just engine stalls message?

I don't mean to worry you but it's worth looking at John from @tothegarage on YouTube and watching his long series about trying to get an XK8 engine started....

Hopefully, you have a much simpler journey...

2 mins is long enough to watch the fuel trims up until it stalls to see what occurs in the run up to the stall and as it stalls. Have a go...

Next, maybe see whether anything odd happens to values from MAF, IAT, ECT, and battery volts (from OBD). Something may spike or dip.

The Jaguar V - 8 does have a specific fuel injector relay up front that can be intermittent and block fuel , you can jumper socket 3 to 5 with blade type connectors for best connection , use the same jumper on the same 3 to 5 on the trunk fuel pump relay or there may be a relay swapping option of the same relay part #
