Fail safe engine mode
2000 x308 . Keep getting fail safe mode . I cleaned the throttle body have changed coolant temp sensor. Have no codes present or pending. Reading up on fail safe most likely TPS sensor. I have a throttle body off a 2002 x308. So should I change the whole thing or just the TPS . The 2002 body has been sitting in the garage for a couple of years but it looks ok it would be easier just to do the TPS thanks in advance for your input jrb53. The car runs great idles at 650-670 rams no problems with exceleration maintains a constant speed around town and on the freeway

If it hasn't got P1111 look at the monitors which are incomplete. Try drive cycles specific to those. If they still fail to set then they point towards the fault(s) but make sure you've properly attempted the drive cycles in every way.
