Failsafe ; cruise control
I have a cheap fix if you have some mechanical savy... remove the Brake/ Cruise switch from the under side of the dash. Use a suitable drill or Dremil with a 1/8” bit. Put a bit of grease on the bit so that it will collect the plastic shavings. Be careful when doing this that you don’t use to much pressure while drilling. Go through the one side. And blow the shavings away and use some W-D 40 or similar oil with the red pipe and spray or drip just a bit of it into the Switch. Do this on both sides of the Switch. Blow, shake the Switch to remove the extra then put it back into use. You people that have the extra $72.00 to replace the Switch just forget you ever read this and go buy a new one. 🧐

The P1111 is not a fault code as such. On our cars there will always be either a P1000 or P1111. Simply put, a P1111 means the ECU has run through all its checks and everything is fine. A P1000 is when it hasn’t done that yet, e.g. after you disconnect the battery.
P1121 is something to do with the accelerator pedal postion or something like that. As suggested, download the various document and dig in.
Good luck,

Be aware that the switch on the brake pedal can cause intermittent brake light function as well. My prior Jag would allow brake lights to stay on, pedal released and quit if pedal was depressed. Simply turning off the switch does NOT fix the faulty switch. Having no brake lights is more serious than a failsafe light on.

I had the dreaded limp mode again, also with a CEL, gearbox fault and traction control fault. The CEL is P1211 and P1222 which are Mass Airflow Sensor and Throttle Position Sensor. Whe I got into it I found that the outside air intake (cheap plastic with a bellows for vibration isolation) between the throttle body and the air filter assembly had numerous cracks in it. I bet the cracks caused the improper signal to the MAS. I found a replacement on EBAY and wil update the results.
