Figures
The reason my wife's '98 XJ8 wouldn't run turned out to be a cam position sensor and some other stuff. So after spending $937 on it Friday and walking four miles to the shop, I got rammed in the rear Sunday night by a guy who said he was asleep at the wheel but may have been on the phone according to the state trooper who investigated. We went to the hospital to be checked but seem to be OK. The car isn't. I have a feeling that the groceries we had to leave in the back seat will be in bad shape, too.
My wife's hoping for a mint green upgrade. I'm looking for something with fewer maintenance issues. Are the early 2000s any better? This car was 10 years old when we bought it but had only 54,000 miles in it. That was only a few trips to the grocery store each year. It was probably a man's car because the steering wheel showed evidence of ring damage on the right side.
