Default Floor pan needs replacing, rust ate it.

Yesterday while cleaning the rug, I notice a lump in the rug. I tried pressing it down and it wouldn't move.

I remember of going over a speed bump and bottoming it out, so I go under the car and notice the front passenger side jack point is up in the car.

I don't have a problem cutting and welding a floor pan, but it looks like the XJR has a pancake style floor pan. Meaning there is a top and bottom that needs to be welded.

I have helped welded floor pans before, is the XJR a double side floor pan or a single sheet metal style.

I will be going to junk yarding to find one a decent shape one.

Check this thread for details with pics on replacing the floor:

It details completely cutting out the driver's floorpan and replacing.

GGG, thanks for the link, I can see it is nothing special, just a norm cut and weld job. I might just get a sheet of automotive sheet metal and get it over and done with.

Again Thanks.
