Default Front Bumper Removal XJ 2002

Have a 2002 Vanden Plas that I need to take the front bumper off. I have removed the air shield and disconnected the marker lights ect. I have removed all the plastic rivits that appear to hold it on to the steel inner bumber. From what I read there are 2 bolts that are at the rear of the bumper but they appear to hold on the sliding catch that the outer bumper slides onto. The bumper still seems to be attached but not sure what else to remove. Are there some other bolts or screws that I'm missing? If so where are they located? Any help would be appreciated.

you've undone more than needed, unless changing the outer skin. The complete bumper is removed with two bolts. Sounds like you're taking it apart on the car....

That's what I intended to do was change out the front bumper cover. Would it be easier to remove the two bolts that hold the inner bumper on and remove the whole thing? THe less work the better as I'm in AZ and its running 100 degrees plus right now.

Yes because the inner beam needs to be off the car to split it.
