When I brake or accelerate while driving slow (around town etc.) my left front squeeks. When I get out and press down on the front end It reproduces the squeek. What could it be? and, What should I try before getting raped at the dealer?

 

It could be the sway bar bushing. They are about $8 and 30 minutes to change. I would take that route before going to the dealer.
