Has anyone been able to get around the End of Life for Flash Player? It seems that pictures and diagrams cannot be displayed without Flash. I'd like to hear the details from anyone that has been able to work around this. Anyone know how JPC displays its content, like is it using a basic version of a particular browser?

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve
Look in the General Tech forum for the recent EPC thread where EOL flash player is discussed. GGG started the thread in January.
There are a couple fixes but that also seems to depend on which Windows version and update you have. I used a virtual machine running XP and had success in patching one of the impacted files.
Good luck.

Thanks Mike! I'll check it out. I've been experimenting with a Win 10 virtual machine without much luck.

Thanks for this download and the instructions.

I dug out my old netbook - Asus EEE PC 900 running Windows 7 Ultimate, but only got as far as having an X where the images should have been. Searched further and seen the Adobe Flash issue and then gave up on that.

Armed with that knowledge and further forum searching, I made an attempt to install jPart as the replacement front end this worked, but not really compatible with the netbook's 1024 X 600 screen resolution.

So onto my desktop. This however is home built PC running Linux (openSUSE Leap 15.3). Initially wasn't getting anywhere with Wine 6.0 + 64 bit Win installation e xe, but I did get it running eventually with the 32 bit installer and a 32 bit Wine environment. I left the two folders where I had originally saved them and just put two symbolic links in the Wine C: drive folder and it works beautifully.

Just a note?
If trying to install and use the JEPC we now have a new program to run JEPC called JPART. It does NOT require Flash Player either.

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums. It's great to have you with us!

I don't know when the JEPC links may be updated, but in the meantime, you can find virtually all of the same information online at parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com

Cheers,

Don

Hi CarCraze,

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.

See my previous post. I personally find parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com to be easier to use than the JEPC and no download or installation is required With either option, you have to learn how to navigate and search to find the parts you are looking for.

In the meantime, please visit the New Member Area - Intro a MUST and post a required introduction so we can learn something about you and your Jaguar and give you a proper welcome.

Also, please read all the information at this link to help you begin your journey as part of this community:

If there is any demand I can upload the JEPC again? But as I posted above it now runs under JPART.
These free hosting sites are for a limited time so they do go dead after a while.

As Don posted you can use the on-line stuff to. But it does not have the level of detail and it's difficult to get the expanded parts diagrams to find things. What I do use the on-line sites for is checking the validity of the part numbers. The JEPC is lacking about super session stuff.

Here is the zipped archive of the last JEPC released. Note it is big 1.3 GB or so. These files will last about 30 days or so. I hope it will be useful.
COMPRESSED JEPC

For instance the classic jaguar parts site posted above will show you the parts diagram IF you have the part number and all the other parts will be shown BUT no part numbers. While in the JEPC ALL the numbers on the diagram have part numbers. So JEPC is WAY easier to search visually for a part using exploded diagrams. I often know where the item is but don't know what Jaguar calls it.

I do wish Jaguar would release another version of JEPC but I doubt they will so we have to use what we have.

Don;

I could not find a listing on the suggested site parts.jaguarlandrover for the 2010 - 2018 XJ. Any suggestions on a site listing parts for a 2014 XJ Supercharged?

I'd suggest asking in the subforum for that model - https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-x351-53/

They are more likely to know than us x308 owners.

Hi Mike,

parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com was originally set up by the Jaguar Land Rover Heritage Trust to offer parts for "classic" vehicles. I think the latest models listed are the X150 and X350. Your 2014 XJ will probably be added in the future, but Jaguar apparently do not yet consider it "classic."

Depending on what you need, try our forum sponsors SNG Barratt and Jagbits, as well as jaguarparts.com, fcpeuro.com, rockauto.com and partsgeek.com just to name a few. If you are seeking basic service items like oil filters, brake pads, etc., you can consult my list of Jaguar Original Equipment Manufacturers at the link in my signature. This can help you find parts made by the same companies that supplied the original parts installed at the factory and sold in Jaguar boxes by dealerships. For example, long-term Jaguar oil filter OEMs include Mann and Mahle, brands that are widely available through aftermarket channels. Brake pad OEMs include Ate, Brembo, Jurid, Pagid, TRW, Mintex, Ferodo, Textar, Alcon, and on older Jags, Girling, Dunlop and Lucas.

Cheers,

Don

Let me ask it this way ... does anyone have a functional version of the electronic parts catalog of jag, either as installation on a pc/laptop or as VM Ware version?

Other question ... i found a version to download, which includes JEPC_18 and jepcv3 ... but i have to know which kind of OS it needs, is it XP or Win 7 or higher.

thank you!
