Default Glove Box Issue

Newbie just purchased a 2000 xj8. previous owner did say the glove box will not open. Need the latch repaired. trying to figure best way to approach the repair. Appears four screws hold the lid. Searched the forum but no mention of this particular issue. With just 68000 miles what could go wrong. Not going to mention the traction control or the normal coolant fitting. Issues for another day! Thanks, Dave

Hey!
Welcome to the gang, and congrats on the new cat!
My only advice is to post this question out to others that own the same model.

Almost anything you experience has happened to many others before you, so you'll have the right people with the right advice there.

Best of luck, and looking forward to a chance to see your new sweetheart!

Welcome to the forums Dave,

I've moved your question from US Northwest Region to X308 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Hope this isn't too late for you, but here's a thread to review... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...closed-227422/

These may not exactly help, but they will show you where the screws are and such...
The 2nd shot is the back of the compartment when you pull the box out.
