Default GPS DVD Replacement

Just purchased a 2006 XKR and love it! I did not get the dvd for the GPS and need one. It has the Alpine Audio systme and the dealer wants $300.00 for a new DVD. Can anyone give me the part number or the namewhere I can get one with a Texas map?
Thanks Don

Yah, that's common when buying a used jag for some reason...my JAG dealer tried to sell my car without one, but I caught that as well as the missing convertible boot cover.. I mean come on, I'm not that naive.

Talk to christo, he copied a 2004 DVD (the latest one for our XKs (97-2006 MY) onto a +DVD disc. Works great. Maybe he can get you a 'backup' for a simple donation of time and materials?[sm=smiley2.gif]

Thanks for the Info, The dealer (non Jag) told me that he could get the DVD for the car but he is having trouble. The problem is that the car is a 2006XKR and the System is Alpine.

I don't see the "trouble" you are referring to. The 2006 XKR takes the same Alpine disc that I have, and what I referred you to w/ the other member. If the problem is that the dvd supplier stopped reproducing them, well I suppose that is a whole different deal.

JackJohn,
Thanks for the offer, but the Denso System disk will not work in the AlpineGPS System that is in My XKR.I need a Apline Disk, at least that is what I have been told. Mine is a 2006 year and they only made about 1,000 units. I just purchased the car and the dealer (Non Jag), said that he could get the original for the car but nothing so far. I can't believe the dealer wants $300.00 for a disk.Navteq does not make disks for this year and told me to go to the dealer. I did not think this would be this big of a problem, but that what I getfor thinking things would be easy.
