Default Gremlins Control ABS, TRAC and ASC

Hello my learned Jaguar Forums friends.
I recently bought a 2000 Jaguar XJ8. Fabulous car.
Unfortunately I have to park it outside because there wasn't enough garage space. Three days of heavy rain. Started it up once the sun returned, and was greeted by an ABS Warning light, plus two narrative warnings - TRAC NOT AVAILABLE and ASC NOT AVAILABLE. I own 5 Jaguars so I have learned to help myself most of the time. Researched the forums. Learned lots about these combined failures. Verified the battery was fully charged, cleaned all four wheel sensors, and checked voltages. Next would be R/R abs controller and re-solder the posts. But first an extended ride.
About 10 miles out, the warnings disappeared. Yea. No warnings. About 5 minutes later (Interstate) I had to TAP THE BRAKES, and the warnings all returned.
Ended my journey. Parked car at gas station for wife to get l9ottery tickets. When she returned, started the car and NO WARNINGS.
Clearly GREMLINS are in control. That is, unless one of you has another idea.
Very respectfully, Bob G in Florida

I have a similar fault. It regularly appears after about 20 min. of engine idling so it looks like heat related (the ABS pump area heats quite a bit when the car is stationary). Never had it while driving. The fault code says "ABS motor circuit failure". I unplugged and cleaned the motor connector and it was fine for a few days then the problem came back. I believe it is the solders on the PCB of the two pins for the motor so I am going to re-solder them.

For reference the pump pickup pins fault code is C1095. A relatively simple job to fix.

Make sure you have all the coating removed from the pins before soldering and use enough heat. I had to repeat one repair because the solder didn't flow enough.
