Hi Guys! I noticed today the two drivers side glass headlight lenses on my 03 VDP were falling out!! It was a very easy fix, the bezel comes off very easy pops right back on. I used a silicone sealer/glue to reseal them and hold them in. Is this a common problem? My 98 didn't have this issue seems strange. Anyone ever experienced this the two on the passenger side are fine but I will keep an eye on them to see if they get loose. Glad I noticed it before they fell out and shattered. I am wondering if heat could have caused this. The sun beats down on the front of my car all day long I wonder if it could be the lens magnify the suns rays and causes them to heat up to the point the factory sealant fails. The reason I think this is part of not my problem is the left side gets the sum all day the building across the street blocks the sun from hitting the right side all day. I have seen a few Jags missing their headlight lenses over the years and figured they were broken but now I wonder if those just didn't fall out.

 

I've had mine for 15 yrs and never had an issue with the lenses.

 

The headlights have a circular chrome trim ring that could fall off (just friction-fit held in place with integrated clips), I've never heard of the actual glass falling out.
