Smile Headlight replace6

Hi,
One of my headlights is not working, I assume the bulb is bad. Need help with a few questions.
it is a 2000 xkr convertible
Are they hard to replace?
What type of bulb is recommended?
Can I use a brighter light bulb than the original?

Thanks

Just for future reference you will get a quicker response posting in the X100 section for the XK8.
The lamps are not difficult to replace just a little fiddly if you have big hands. Not a lot of room.
The low beam lamp is changed by removing a panel on the front of the wheel arch liner and the bulb is accessed. It isn't necessary to remove the wheel just turn it hard over out of the way.
The high beam can be accessed from under the bonnet.
You can use any lamp recommended for the car. If you go to brighter lamps you will want to replace both sides for appearance.
