Default Heater not very hot.....

Hi, It's getting colder so only just noticed that the heater doesn't seem to work efficiently. Air con is very cold, works great.

I have read about checking out the heater pump and heater valve and flushing through the matrix etc. My question is....with the one way valves in the system...how much do I have to drain down the heater/cooling system...only just below the level of the electric heater pump, or more? Risk of air locks once refilled? I looked in the manual, doesn't give a procedure for removing the heater pump and valve - I can give it it a good guess...however, so much about these cars is 'specific' and sometimes different to other mark's methods...... I would rather do it the easy way and ask first ratter than the hard way and have to learn by my mistakes and all.... Thanks Allan

First thing I would do before disassembling anything is to confirm that the heater circulation pump is operating . . . or not. You should be able to feel it turning on/off with the climate control operation.
