Default heater valve

Does anyone know if this part will work on a xj8/xjr. Variable Restrictor Valve Dorman 902-008 instead of buying the whole assembly. I seen it posted on the site but no one has said if it works. All help is appreciated.http://www.autozone.com/cooling-heat...?checkfit=true

Below is a link to JAGBITS one of the forum sponsors. They list in stock both a new and a used heater valve. The also have a picture of it you can use to compare. You might also want to check with SNG Barratt another sponsor.

You may be confusing the connector with a valve -- part of the octopus is with the engine and the other with the body. They snap together when the engine was installed in the car.

The heater valve has an electrical connector as does the pump for the system

If you are referring to the one way inline valves (of which there are two)
they should work fine....jut remember to put them in right way round ;o)

Yes xjay8 that is exactly what I am talking about and there are two but they are the same part. I'm just going to order the part and hope it works and I'll make sure I put the arrows the right way.
