Help sourcing a bolt
Apparently you can't snippet something into a post, bummer. It created about 20 pages of gibberish. Nice.
I had a nice picture with an arrow pointing to the bolt, but I'll ask for help with a description rather than a picture that was apparently worth a thousand words.
The little bracket plate bolts that secure the throttle body elbow to the engine. They attach it from the bottom whereas it also bolts on to the supercharger.
When I took mine apart one bolt was half tightened and the other was gone. It seems whoever removed the supercharger last forgot them.
I searched all my usual places for a part number with no luck. I'll try to create a picture again but since I don't have the authority to delete my thread I'm putting this here to explain what I am doing. Ok, I "think" it worked this time. The sloppy arrow that I made is the one pointing to the missing bolt. Thanks!

You can get those bolt here: https://www.belmetric.com/8mm-c-2_10...aq3se68g8fc0g1, just select the correct length. The bolt length is measured from its tip to the underside of the flange, i.e. the flange and the hex head are not taken into account. From this company, you can also get any other Jaguar bolt, nut, washer etc. that you may need.

I was trying to figure out why Miatas were 12mm for everything that on every other car would be 13mm. I thought they were trying to save 5 grams./ bolt..

My Toyota Supras were almost exclusively 8, 10, 12 & 14mm, then it skipped up to a handful of 17s in the suspension. Then I bought a Jaguar and finally got to use almost the entire rest of my metric "set". I think I've used the 6, 7, 11, 13, 15, 16, 18 and 19. I think the only size they use in common is the 10mm. I used to buy wrecked Toyota Supras and part them out so I saved buckets and buckets of Toyota bolts. I admit that I've replaced a few Jaguar bolts with Toyota ones so whoever gets the XJ8 after me will get to use their entire socket set too. Mainly I objected to the use of those "torx" heads in hard to reach places. For example if you replace the torx bolt holding the crankshaft position sensor with a regular hex head, then you can service it very easily without having to move the power steering rack out of the way again.
