The high level brake light on my XJ8 sits on the rear parcel shelf and is stuck to the rear screen by adhesive pads, similar to the ones used to stick on the rear view mirror. These have failed and I need to remove it to clean up the attachment points and the window glass. Can someone tell me where the wiring to the light comes from, as I need to disconnect it to remove the brake light. Thanks Bill W.

 

You don't need to remove the harness from the car, just set the HMSL assy off to the side or unplug it from the lamp itself.
