$500 based on what needs to be repaired. You would be better off finding one in the $3K range that doesn't need repairs.

Hi bbobby,

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums!

I have moved your thread from the X350 forum to the forum for the X308, which is the Jaguar factory code for the 1999 XJ8L you are considering. I have also edited your thread title so others will know what you are inquiring about. Mystery titles tend to discourage members from reading your post.

I agree with carelm that the Jaguar you have described is a parts car. You would be better off finding an example with a good transmission and good paint.

Please visit the New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum and post an introduction so we can give you a proper welcome and learn something about you.

Cheers,

Don

I agree. In the US market you can find nice ones for low prices, it's not worth buying something that needs thousands in repair.
