Default How to remove rear "sub"
Trying to pull my rear 6x9 "sub" to attempt to find something to replace it. I figured I could just pull the cover, didn't want to move. I tried pulling the whole rear deck but can't find out to remove it. Are there clips some where? How do I get it out?

Remove the rear seat back. Remove child anchor tether covers if you have them. Remove rear E pillar trim. Then remove the shelf. I am not sure about the 6x9 thing though. I have a 2001 VDP premium and it has an 8 inch sub under the deck.

remove the bottom of the rear seats first to get access tothe bolts for the backrest part. then the tethers.. becareful not to brake anything and be patient..

How do I go about removing the back seat? I got the bottom part that you sit on out.
But the backrest is tricky. I removed the screws from the bottom but it seams to be attached some how at the top? I tried lifting up and it wasn't budging, didn't want to break anything.

Anyone know?

you just gotta lift it upwards it's kinda difficult if never removed..you can angle the bottom upward then stick a prybar under it and pry... up

Makes mincemeat out of X-Type subframes. My primary reason for buying it. I don't name my tools.....lol. You started looking for hair on the palms of your hands yet?
