13 years ago, I bought this beautiful Spruce Green Mettalic XJ8 Vanden Plas, then pretty original.
Over the years, I tried to upgrade her in a decent sense, so that it could be all Jaguar original (and many parts are....).
Should still have several threads here on this forum.
However, life makes unexpected turns sometimes, and this car paid the price, did not leave the garage other than for its half year's mandatory inspections.
But now making her ready, she is clean in and out, and the list is limited to new front shock bushings, 2 interior light bulbs, and an AC recharge.
Ready to go go go again ......

ERIC!! ....great to see you dude, hope your doing well ....and as usual I am jealous of your Jags presentation, she looks great. Stu 1986 just came back a few months back as well....gettin' the ol' team back together.
I just recently did an oil pan gasket and the oil cooler o-rings and I'm waiting on a coolant reservoir expansion tank to get mine back on the road.

Yeah, all good, back in high spirits, and very good to still see you around!
Sold my XK8 and the XJS, back to the one car I will never sell.
The last years I skimmed some of the Jaguar forums on Facebook from time to time, but what a nonsense there ... It feels good to be logged-in on this forum again.
And yes, Stu kept me updated on his adventures privately, will be nice to see them here one day.
Good to see you back, as Highhorse says it’s like getting the band back together.
I haven’t done much with my car since re acquiring her other than buying an identical parts car, I’m snowed under with other projects just now. The two cars are parked in my barn with the other classics for winter storage whilst work continues on my current major project. That’s scheduled to be more or less finished by spring so hopefully then I can get onto the Jag. That’s if the oppressive government of the UK doesn’t spring any nasty surprises for vehicle owners between now and then.
As always if you need any help getting parts out to you I’m always happy to help!

I see there are also still some others of the Old Guard still around, great.
Kind of miss the seriousness on this forum compared to the total crap on some Jaguar FB forums ...
And yes Stu, still after so many years, still never step in my car without thinking how YOU made those Captains seats available for me!
What an adventure that was! Driving down to Somerset in a borrowed Mercedes estate car, a night in a hotel, a trip to a farmyard in the middle of bloody nowhere then turning my spare bedroom into a trim shop whilst I broke it all down to ship. Then squeezing it into a Ford Fiesta to take to the shippers to go on a pallet. I’ve still got parts from that interior kicking around.
But it’s events like these that make this forum great! Other members have sent me stuff from the USA before now and I’ve also sent stuff there. This forum is better than a Facebook group because it actually works as it should with genuine people who want help, not just keyboard warriors hiding behind a fake profile.
