Default Ignition timing. Vanos seting in right place. Please help!!!!

Ok. There is the problem i have released all chains and now ignition is wrong engine works not correct. When push axeleration pedal from engine hears knocking sound. I have taked engine main chain back in one tooth and now its better but anywai the sound is much less but it is. So The question will be how to corectly set engine ignition with vanoses. I have maked picture and explained in it about vanos. So im seting chamshaft in one place and now i dont know what to do with vanos how it have to be those wings inside vanos how they have to be fully in left in right or maybe in middle? Vanos is turning in one direction but camshaft stays in his place (when i turn engine in left vanos turns in left and camshaft stays in his place while 3 tooth goes from main star and after 3 tooth is turned chamshaft starts to go left. ) So that means there is no oil in vanos holes and wings can go in left or right as they want. But when engine is on, preasure pushes oil in these holes and the wings turns in right or left vanoses changes chamshaft job so the ignition changes. THE question is how vanos should be when seting ignition in right or in left place or maybe in middle??? Take a look at picture. And please help me

With luck, you might not have bent the valves YET! By the way, the chain path in your drawing is wrong and misleading. And VANOS is a BMW term. You will find more information on the Jaguar using the term "VVT".
Look here at section "EE":
Tmingi chain and tensioner replacement

The VVTs are actually moved to the retarded position for the intake cam by internal springs. The torque placed on the exhaust cam in the shop procedure (and shown in the referenced document) assures the timing chains (secondaries are not shown in your drawing) are tight and the aligned correctly to the crank while tightening the bolts.

Also, after rereading your explanation, it seems like there may be some internal problem with your VVT unit. Look at PDF for more on VVT.

Sorry I can't offer any help, but I'll give your thread a bump so others may see it.
Good luck,
