interesting experience on ordering the Goodridge G-Stop (Stainless Steel) Brake Line
I ordered this high performance brake line more than 2 weeks ago.
After the first week, I have not received the item so I called the vendor helpline if any shipping issues .
they told me the brake line was a special order so they actually placed a direct order to Goodridge manufacture to "build" this set for my XJR.Their warehouse never had it in stock because it was an rare order.
I felt surprised rather mad like"really? my car is just a Jag not a RR, how exclusive can it be!!"
updated status, that Gooddridge was still building it as we speak and done by Friday.

this is the content of that email
Hi Vincent,
I checked with Goodridge on the status of your brake line kit being
built and shipped and they said that unfortunately they are still
waiting on some components required to build the brake line kit, so it
is taking longer than expected. They said they have it scheduled to be
shipped out by Friday of next week (Sept. 7th), which means you
wouldn't get it until around Sept. 13th or 14. We are very sorry about
this delay. If you cannot wait this long, we can cancel the order
still, but need to know soon. However, I don't think anyone has this
brake line kit in-stock right now, so it is probably best to wait if
at all possible. Please reply to confirm if you can wait or wish to
cancel.
Thanks,
Mike

That's right. The difference in brake feel is huge. Atleast when compared to my old slightly deteriorated factory brake lines. I overdid my first high speed braking quite badly with the Goodridges, because brake pedal travel is now missing the spongy part at the end.

The reason that the kit is special order in the US is that it is a different market than the UK where the vehicle is much more common.
Try finding a listing for Mustang brake hoses on the UK site ...

OK, I'll try again, Jaguar have them, MXD5670BC for the front, MXD5670CC for the rear.
These are 'R' option, traction control equipped car, and yes SS BF Goodridge, in silver. I guess for Brembo equipped cars. (which is probably why the XJ8 ebay search says 'no' to XJR?)
To be honest any good hydraulic company can knock you up a set. Just take the old lines in and they can do them while you wait, and cheaper too. (Using Goodridge hose)
If I'd known you where stuck, I'd of sent you some, got a full set here, Jaguar OEM Goodridge...
