Default Jag goes into limp home mode need help

I dont remember my other accont so i'll use this one until I remember the old one
Oct 2018
Massive oil leak
April 2018
I took the jag into the shop about a week ago they had to drop the exhaust and transmission to put in a seal i drive home and got up to at least 60 park for a few minutes and start driving again after hitting 65 I slow down for a stop light and the car throws some codes engine fail safe mode, gearbox fault, asc, and traction control. Then i pulled over and let it sit for a while about 20 minutes later it starts up and after i put it into gear it vibrates and goes into limp home mode again. Get home and let the car sit for a day and after putting it in gear to avoid a incoming hail storm the car decides to go into limp home mode which was annoying trying to get up the drive at 1k rpm. I let it sit another day and I take it into the dealer again(i havnt taken it to the jag dealer just the place I bought it from car x) and they cant figure it out its been 2 days with no hope in sight only that it wasnt the fact that they dropped the trans that reduced my jag to a slow crawl.
Anyone have a similer issue and know how to fix it

Yes I'd definitely suspect trans. connections from the drop. No codes from the dealer level OBDII scan ?! Try the X308 resident cure all, the hard reset ?!

If you can please post all of the diagnostic trouble codes exactly as they appear, we may be able to help you narrow down the diagnosis, but I agree with King Charles, the first thing to check is the main electrical connector at the transmission. If the pins are not clean and the connector properly tightened, gearbox faults and Limp Home Mode can easily be triggered.

Cheers,

Don

Please, first of all, check the electrical PPS and TPS connections, clean all all 4 connectors with contact cleaner, spray generously and push-pull connectors in and out a few times.

BUT FIRST DISCONNECT THE MINUS CONTACT OF THE BATTERY !!!!! before touching any connectors, and do not undo the plus of the battery.

I had the same problem, gear box locked up, 6,000 Euro for a new gearbox. But I only had a pps / tps connector problem.

Running a transmission shop I do a little experience in this line. When they did the rear main did they also service the transmission. I believe that you have a ZF transmission and if was beginning to deteriorate service would only accelerate the condition. What were the codes thrown? Any gear ratio codes are problematic however speed sensor codes are bearable and will also throw you into limp.
