Jammed/twisted rear seat belt in 01 VDP
The passenger side rear seat belt has jammed and will not pull out. The part that is out appears to have 2 twists in it. Until recently, it would pull out despite the twists, but now it won't even do that. When it was "pullable", I tried feeding a reverse twist back into the reel as I retracted it, but I could not get that past the plastic ferrule where the belt goes into the seat.
Am I facing the job I fear I am facing? For starters, it is not clear how to remove the plastic ferrule/molding where the belt goes into the seat. I did not want to tug too hard, lest it break. Does anyone know which way to tug or twist, to get that out?

had the same on my xjr. if you pull the plastic ferrul from the rear screen towards yourself and slightly upwards it releases. no need for tools or brute force. may be easier if you raise the head rest. hope this is of some use
you should be able to pull the plastic thing that the seatbelt goes through out of the seat a little bit and see where the plastic parts go down into the seat to hook in. I used a flathead screwdriver (with the end covered in masking tape to avoid scratching stuff) to push the tabs inward so I could pull the thing right out. then you should have more room to solve your twisting concerns.
