is the a jumper lead for fuel pump on my xj8
Recently when my car sits for a while (especailly when its cold) it
cranks but wont start......put a fuel pressure gauge on it 0
pressure....if I mess around with it cycle the key and or let it
sit for a while I will see the pressure come up.....I know some
cars usaully have a lead wire or pigtail that you could power up to
send power to the pump..is there one on my 99 xj8 4.0 ..or could I
just jump the relay...this way I can relax a bit for fear of
getting stuck or late for work..........

I would check the relay for 'burnt' contacts. You can swap the relay with another BROWN relay.
Might be time to replace your pump?????? if it is drawing alot of current.
Replacing your fuel filter might cut down on some of the current draw if the pump is working hard to get fuel past a clogged filter.
