Key in door is killing my windows repeatedly. What is going on?
The lock cylinder in the driver's door has been deteriorating to the point where I have to sort of wiggle it back and forth to get the key out. A few days ago my driver's side window would no longer go down. I also noticed my sunroof would close automatically after a few seconds.
After searching this forum I found that others had a similar problem and solved it by draining down the electrical system thereby resetting some module that controls the windows. I confirmed that this worked on my car, but as soon as I locked it again the window stopped working again. This is infuriating lol.
I would use the fob, but my memory seats are not working right and the seat assumes an insane position every time the car is unlocked with the fob.
Does anyone know how I can make the windows stop getting confused by the lock cylinder?

The windows are controlled by the door modules which are on the SCP (Standard Corporate Protocol) network. The seat memory is somewhere in there, too, but I haven't figured out exactly where the the settings are stored. I changed out the driver's seat module a few years ago thinking that I would be able to reset the memory, but the seat keeps going to the original setting, so it's not stored there. Maybe some of the electrictronical gurus can chime in (?)
I attached the electrical guide for your enjoyment.
