I recently experienced several issues when unbeknownst to me, my battery was discharging due to a bad alternator. After charging up the battery, all issues ceased except now the remote key fob won't operate the locks or trunk, etc.

Is there a "reset" or something that needs to be done to restore my remote ability?

Most likely it will come back if you just disconnect the car battery for a minute and then reconnect it.
