Long List Of Faults

Long List Of Faults
Hi Everyone.
I bought a 99 XJR last year as a restoration project it came with plenty of test on it and was a touch tired around the edges. unfortunately time got the better off me and she sat for 9 months until this week. i have regularly been and started her up but when i went to take her for the test this week the battery was flat i had a spare which i fitted and she fired straight up unfortunately every dash warning light came on and stayed on no gauge illuminated or displayed any reading and the car wouldnt go in gear the gearbox release solenoid wasn't moving. I have manually bypassed this but assume all the faults are linked together.
Thanks in advance for any help that can be given

Welcome to the forum Shaun,
Occasional starting can do more harm than good unless it includes a short drive to get everything up to temperature. The best way to park up for an extended period is to keep the vehicle on a battery tender such as CTEK.
However, starting and running is a big plus - we have many arrive on the forum who would love to be at that advanced stage! First step is to ensure that the "spare battery" is an adequate battery. These cars are extremely sensitive to battery condition and throw all kinds of errors if it is below spec or partially discharged. Next has to be to get a code reader on the vehicle to see what is stored or pending.
Preparing for an MoT in February - what a joy.
