Well...now that the XJ is back in service...thinking of putting out there if anyone has a sable leather, wood rim steering wheel (not necessary to have the airbag...I'll use the one from my wheel) off of a VDP that they'd like to have find a new home...I'm an interested party. PM me off list...and we can carry it on there.

For what it's worth, I picked up a VDP front grille and boot lid trim piece. Yeah, I only have a base XJ8, but, the fluted trim pieces look very nice, even on the base model. Not trying to make it something it's not...but dressing it up a bit.

 

I guess getting it in the States should not be a problem.

However, just in case, I saw several wooden steering wheels on Yahoo Japan.
No idea if those prices are any good though.
