What did you pay for the Brembos? Was it a straight bolt in?

Well.. here are a few in it's current state... i'm going to remove the side moldings and when I do ill continue finishing the bottom on the detail... but I got the hood (not 100%.. previous owners suck) and the drivers side upper done today...

It's not dirt it's water beads..

As you can see I took the plastidip off the windows...but they will now be going permanently black with the good stuff once i'm done with the whole car. Added red growler centercaps... I also had issues with my old rear tires so I put on taller ones, and will be doing the same to the front... looks way better IMO.

I used Pentosin Super Dot 4 for the brake fluid and sprayed the rotors with high heat VHT silver... might eventually do the calipers red. It's a direct swap with the SS lines... Rear are a pain to install tho

She is starting to get up to my liking... will eventually drop it a bit as well.

whew!

Um, No. She was Clayed, Sprayed with Iron out, M105, M205, Menzerna Super Finish, and then finally the black fire wet diamond sealant... bunch of pads! Ton of work!

Eventually switching to a glass coating after more perfecting work is done... I don't think the BFWD is for me on this car, and some areas I just want to seal it and forget it

It's finally de-molded down the sides and got the trim around the windows painted with the good stuff... yes it rained, car is dirty... put on taller rear tires and will be doing the same for the front when they wear out.

Still gotta finish polishing below trim line on this side....

Napa had them both for 75 bucks out the door.. OEM filter only for me.... This is good stuff!

That's it for now.. she is coming along... REALLY wanna drop it an inch or so soon. Maybe start with some engine mods finally, just want to make sure it's perfect as a stock car first before i do the playing.

Thanks for the feed back!

Got the tensioners done... so today she's sitting pretty mechanically... Doing tranny upgrades next.

Sitting in the rain beading today...

Thinking about selling the A4 in the background and picking up a little C230 Kompressor... like a little baby brother to the jag haha... need a daily gas saver that's just as fun while I completely re-do the jag's suspension.. ect... Project car status!.

Next mod is another car... haha

This is my first time checking out the thread, must say great job!

Thanks for keeping everyone up to speed. Black window trim? Nice.
Removed side skirts, a-la XJR-100, kudos. CF interior also looks very
good. Excellent choice of wheels and tires. If you went for the FK452
in 255-35-20 they are quite a bargain.

The C230, I advise against. Very problem-ridden, slow, and in the case
of the coupe, very ugly.

Funny you mention the tires... I already have problems with the front... not even 500 miles on them yet... sidewall is separating...

But, on the good side I can put on the 255-35-20's and beef up the front to match the new rears...Maybe put the spacers on this time around... anyway this will be my 3rd set of 20" tires already, at least they're BRAND new this time.

My wife kinda wants to keep the audi, but I would make the c230 look good for a daily. Guess i'm stuck driving the jag everyday... kinda a hate/love relationship with this one.

New Brembos and ss lines... Still getting used to this it's touchy!

I want the Brembos, but there is just no justification for me.
Stock performed absolutely fine on the track (better than
most cars weighing 200lbs less) and the rotors/pads are SO
much cheaper. Adding Brembos means i need new wheels,
and the Rotors/pads become expensive, :/

Is your alignment okay? I'm surprised you would have issues
at 5k!

Not 5k... 500miles or less haha.

Alignment isn't the issue it's just the tires/size suck. Car drives perfect really.

I need lowering springs bad.... but i really don't wanna pay $600 for just springs.

More meat yehhh!

The thing about these aftermarket springs... I am sure they
are designed carefully, but The suspension geometry changes,
potentially ruining the car's limit handling.

Well.. I managed to take a pic of the weight off my shoulders...

Got the autozone front brembo rotors on the way, they have a 2 year warranty Lets give them a shot shall we! (extra discount code made them about 75 bucks each or so with free shipping.)

I'm also going to break down and buy both lower ball joint arms, both new wheel bearings since the junkyard fix now sucks as well... and probably new shocks.

Just.. tackle it all while i'm in there.

Oh yea, the falken tires separated at the sidewall so now I have new taller tires that match the back... car looks a lot better with more meat on it.

Just found this little gem... gotta wait on it from the UK but it's worth it for half off the USA price of them.

If anyone wants to buy it when i'm done I paid $80.00us for it.

Looks great. Just curious, what is the "good stuff" you used for the chrome
shadowline. Also how did you do it? Did you remove the trim?

Autozone Brembo rotors came in today, 2 year warranty and i used a discount code for 40 bucks off online, free shipping. $170 shipped for both.

I'm going to wait until I order all the suspension stuff and do it all at once to try them out, the ones I have now aren't even bad but I couldn't pass the deal up.

Also, XJR will also now be delayed as I found a brand new factory long block to put in the a4, so that will be my daily now and ill get back to this project once the a4 is good to go.

Still have the eclipse to do too haha... man!

FACT! If you put bigger tires, brembo's and 20's on your car your power steering pump will go out.

I replaced my tensioners, noise was still there... it got worse and i took off the belts for diag... Yep.. sure enough it makes noise by spinning it with my hand...

Going with the ebay lifetime warranty deal just incase... Thinking about it for the shocks too.. BMW guys are saying it firmed up the ride and they haven't had issues with them... lifetime warranty too... Money saved can go towards lowering springs...

She's so needy!

Picked up that new factory longblock that came up for sale locally and I bought it to fix the A4... So I may have a daily shortly so I can tear into this project and i can play with it for awhile.

THIS JUST IN!

DO NOT buy ANY parts from ebay user steering_part on ebay.. this is a SCAM company that takes offers on items, declines them.. and then RAISES THE NORMAL PRICE of the item... Shady business practices will not go unnoticed from me. They wouldn't even honor the price from yesterday. (84 bucks) They raised it to $129 right after I made the offer.

I really hate people sometimes. What sucks is I gave them a chance and they blew it.

I really need a PS pump too and don't want used

NEVER go used on a power steering pump unless you plan to clean it out completely (essentially rebuilding it). By installing a used p/s pump you stand a good chance of sending more crud to your rack increasing possibility of ruining the entire p/s system. I'd recommend flushing out your existing power steering system before installing a new(or rebuilt) pump.
